 We've all heard of Millionaire Tradies (Mortar to Millions...blah blah blah...), but here's a real quick couple of tips for you to consider:

 1. You can never have TOO MUCH work!

TOO MUCH work sometimes means -

a) You have too few work partners/staff or are not maximising the benefits of managed apprentices,

b) Not being selective enough with the jobs you are taking to ensure appropriate profit ratios, or;

c) You are spending too much time on the tools and not enough time managing potential work-force resources.

 2. Manage your advertising costs.

Sure, your business turned over $300K last year. Great! But how much of it went to THAT big yellow book and other paper based ads? All avenues of advertising have their benefits, but make sure your perception of them match the economic reality.

 I know, it's not next week's lotto numbers - but a good place to start your ponderings when next you find yourself on the front porch, with a beer in your hand.
